Recalls and Reminders: Our patients are on the database for reminders of pap smears, immunisations, preventative health measures and follow up of other important medical issues. If you do not wish to be enrolled on a reminder system, please advise your doctor.
Test Results: Please call after 10am for test results. Reception staff are unable to provide interpretations of your results. If the doctor would like to see you about a test result, we will contact you via phone or mail, depending on the urgency. We will not always contact you about minor or non-urgent abnormalities in test results.
Feedback: At the Tenambit Medical Centre we work hard to provide comprehensive and thoughtful medical care to all our patients. Your comments are always welcome. These can be made to your doctor or our office manager, or via our feedback forms. Complaints can be registered with the State Health complaint agency on 1800 043 159.
Receiving calls: GPs will not receive phone calls during appointment hours. A message can be left with reception and the GP will return your call in between sessions.
Returning calls: It is practice policy not to leave a message on a home or work phone number if there is no answer. We recommend you register your mobile number with reception so we can leave a name and return number.
Access to Patient records:Patients of our practice have the right to access their personal health information. Please ask at reception if you need to access your health record.
Interpreter Services: Our practice encourages patients to utilise the free translating and interpreting service if required.
Patient Privacy: This practice protects your personal health information to ensure it is only available to authorised staff for the intended purposes and to comply with the Privacy Act. To obtain a copy of our Privacy Statement or your medical records, please ask at reception.
